The origin of Flamborough Hills Golf & Country Club goes back almost 50 years when Jack and Ann Windsor shaped 18 holes out of a dairy farm in the hamlet of Copetown. When completed in 1961 the club opened for play under the name of Windsor Park.In 1985 the course was sold to Cliff Sheppard who changed the name and worked steadily to improve the facility. In 1994 a third nine was opened and dubbed the Lakes course adding to the original 18 whose nines were now called the Hills and Woods. The added nine holes were built to United States Golf Association specifications with bentgrass greens, fairways and tees. In 1998 an upgraded, computer controlled irrigation system was added giving the golf course superintendent the tools required to fine tune turf quality while conserving water.

The turn of the century saw the addition of a new clubhouse capable of hosting tournaments and weddings of up to 300 people. A separate members lounge was incorporated into the design so both tournament players and members could enjoy the clubhouse in harmony.

August 2007 saw another change of ownership to Tom de Jonge. Tom is committed to keeping the course moving forward in improvements with many new plans for the future.

From the fully stocked pro shop under the direction of CPGA Head Professional Jeff Moore, to fine dinning with Toni Burch in the clubhouse, Flamborough Hills Golf & Country Club is a great place to be.
